Eaton has announced its intent to spin-off its Mobility business (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company.

This separation will create a new company that will be a leading engineered solutions partner and provider of critical vehicle system components. As an independent company, the Mobility business will have greater flexibility to pursue the strategic and investment priorities – in operations, products and teams – that directly align with your needs. With its global manufacturing and sales footprint, world-class testing facilities and history of innovation leadership, the new company will be well positioned to lead in mobility markets and remain your partner of choice.

It is important to note that this is just the first step in this process, which we expect to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2027. Until then, the Mobility business, team and customers remain a valued part of Eaton and an important part of our overall business. During the separation process, there will be no change to how you currently do business with Eaton – your contacts, how your account is managed and how we deliver products remain the same. Our priority continues to be delivering the innovative solutions you expect from us.

    At this moment in time, it is business as usual for our Mobility business customers. There will be no change to how you contact us, how we manage your accounts, deliver your products or how you currently do business with Eaton during this process.

    • For customers that are purchasing products from our Mobility business today, the offers you currently purchase will become a part of the new company’s portfolio after separation. 
    • For customers that purchase a broader portfolio of goods from Eaton today, e.g. from our Electrical or Aerospace businesses, post-separation you will purchase those products from the two distinct companies.

    As of now, all locations of offices and manufacturing sites remain the same. Post separation, there may be changes at sites where joint Eaton and Mobility employees were previously located.  More details will be shared if changes impact any of our customers.
